The human brain does not reach its full adult development until age 24/25, and young teenagers do not possess the executive function (abstract thinking, long term consequences etc) to make these choices. Women who want breast implants must be 18, 22 for silicone implants. I'd argue that breast augmentation is less drastic and life altering than say, taking puberty blockers that make you sterile without knowing what the long term effects are.

Exactly. We now KNOW executive function is actually impaired until at least the early 20s. This is a huge contradiction in medical-psychological practice right now and it’s hard to understand how they justify it. The almighty dollar is a huge motivator.
