Imagine if calling a gay person “transphobic” for literally being gay happened as often as a gay person calling a Trans person homophobic for being trans? Bc existing as a trans person and pushing the idea that you are the sex you “identify” with is fucking homophobic.
modern trans-activism IS conversion therapy as far as I’m concerned, and I don’t say that lightly.
I 100% agree. If you’re GNC as a child, parents are quick to help their kids transition, better to have a straight kid, or a gender conforming kid.
Also, there was a post floating around before with articles on a bunch of countries whose governments cover SRS but where it’s illegal to be gay. They literally are using it as conversion therapy.
To give but one example: In Iran, homosexuality is a capital crime. Many gay and lesbian people are hanged in Iran. The state pays for and promotes sex reassignment surgery for all gay people. It has the second highest rate of SRS in the world, only behind Thailand (where many Westerners go for surgery due to lower costs).
