I always find it interesting that questioners like this use male pronouns and the term “son” when referring to my child. You don’t even know what pronoun my child wants right now. And since self-identification seems to be the most important thing of all to gender activists, isn’t it a bit presumptuous to assume about a stranger’s kid on the Internet?
Here’s what I think: the people spamming my Ask box with supposed concerns about a stranger they will never meet should spend some time actually reading and engaging with what gender critics like me write, and then decide how it applies–or doesn’t– to their own lives.
