how is ~othering~ children who don’t meet your performance standards for their sex NOT reinforcing oppressive patriarchal gender roles and expectations?

How is signing gender non-conforming children–80+% of whom turn out to be actually just gay or lesbian–up for a lifetime of drugs and synthetic hormones with scientifically proven deleterious effects /not/ a form of reparative therapy?
