I'm the last anon you can publish both of my asks -- I'm 22 years old and have known I was FTM since I was 14. But didn't do anything to pursuit social transition (cutting my hair and wearing boyish clothes) until I was 22 now. I don't want to jump into testosterone. And I've known many people who did and regretted it. It's a big choice. I know that it will take me many years maybe before knowing if that's the choice for me. Being trans doesn't ALWAYS mean transition. It can for some, not all.
I really appreciate you sharing this nuanced view of what it can mean to ID as trans. Medical transition isn’t always necessary. Would like to hear more on this.
Also, you say you’ve known many people who have regretted starting “T.” You don’t hear that often, except on critical blogs like mine and those of detransitioned women. It seems like expressing any kind of regret about transitioning is really hushed up in the trans community. Do you think that is true?
