New post up on Wordpress with more on breast binders and minors. Now before the Tumblr Hate Brigade gets all up in arms, screaming that binders are necessary for dysphoria, and that I’m an awful parent who deserves to die, please take a look at the comment thread on this piece. There is reasoned discussion about the pros and cons of parents buying their MINOR daughter a binder. There’s even acknowledgment that dysphoria is a REAL THING.

And see: That’s what this piece is about. It’s about parents making these decisions jointly with their own kids–whom they happen to know a hell of a lot better than the online Thought Police or a pack of well meaning strangers.

I’m calling out the adults who have the audacity to supply free-of-charge binders to any and all kids who ask for them (“In a Bind” ONLY sends binders to minors), shipped in plain wrappers, as a deliberate attempt to drive a wedge between thoughtful, loving parents and their own children. Guess what? Some parents might actually buy a binder. Some won’t. But it’s not up to you, Jenn Burleton and Kit Crosland, adult STRANGERS, to make parenting decisions for our families.
