Anon, your comment makes me feel both encouraged and sad. As is the case with the other moms I’ve met in my situation, my child isn’t aware of my online presence. But I hope your message reaches her, and others like her, before irreversible decisions are made. We so need young people like you–clear-eyed peers–to identify the cult for what it is.
Please don’t give up. Our daughters need you. And there seem to be more and more like you every day. Thank you for having the courage to speak up, despite the personal losses you’ve experienced for doing so. Young women like you are the ones who give me–and parents like me–hope that things might actually be different in the future. Even if our own kids ultimately choose to hop on the trans bandwagon.
