Whatever your views on trans issues, doesn’t the public deserve a vigorous discussion about the ethics of prescribing testosterone to nonbinary 13-year-olds? Many effects of T are irreversible. Simple question: Why must a person wait until 18 to get a tattoo (which is arguably more reversible than T), but–at least in the US–can receive a powerful controlled substance from gender doctors, as a “nonbinary” or “genderqueer” 13-year-old?
